Benefits

This is a simple practice but takes a surprising amount of discipline and focus. This is a good meditative practice. Try this once a day instead of reaching for you phone or device.

Notice the way attention to your breath leads to calmness. Notice the need to engage in distraction and simply bring your focus back to the breath.

Practice

To practice this breath, simply count the number of breaths you take, up to 5. Count on the exhale as to not lose count. Once you have counted 5 breaths, repeat. Do this for several minutes.
